The KCHC Junior Condors Pre-Season Clinic hosted by our coaches ended yesterday. It began successfully and ended successfully thanks to the hard work and voluntary spirit provided by the KCHC coaches and members. I believe their were more coaches and kids on the ice than any previous clinic hosted by the KCHC. Let us not forget Patrick Love, Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Bakersfield Condors. He showed up in beast like form and left the kids with some good tips on how to physically prepare off the ice for the game. In addition to thanking all the coaching staff that participated, a special thank you to Mrs. Rosebush and her daughters for volunteering to handle the administrative process prior to the players getting on the ice. That was a huge job, which they performed flawlessly. We know how valuable time is for everyone and they were handling business during all four sessions. Our coaches raised enough money for them to purchase equipment for their dry-land training program, really good stuff for sure.

As the KCHC Junior Condors Pre-Season Clinic ends, next week we begin our first practice for the 2017-2018 hockey season. Yes! Let the games begin. In addition to posting this months schedule here, be sure to download a copy to stick on the refrigerator. The schedule looks solid for right now, but will likely change in mid September. Any changes will be positive ones, as we are in talks with the Bakersfield Condors relative to ice time at the Rabobank. If things go as planned the schedules may get even better this year. Not to mention having the kids practice where their big brothers practice and play is exciting by itself.

Labor Day tourney, oh wow, it is also right around the corner. Many of you have been speculating as to where we will be traveling.  After receiving input from many parents, we will be heading to Valencia once again. Valencia is a great place to kick-off the first tournament of the season was the general consensus. All the details are being worked on, so check back for dates and times for teams.

Everyone enjoy their weekend, we will see you soon.

Go Condors!
